In ACDT’s “The Tenth Muse,” Susan Collard and guest choreographer, Jaime Camarena, have choreographed an evening dance show that delves into the life of Sor Juana Inéz de la Cruz, a Mexican nun who became one of the first feminists, intellectuals, writers, poets, and artists. The show captures her struggles with her own faith and with the Church and government authorities through dance, poetry, singing, and graphic animation.
