Smile Empty Soul was a heavy alternative trio led by singer/guitarist Sean Danielson, featuring drummer Derek Gledhill and bassist Ryan Martin. The band's sound, characterized by screeching guitars and rage-filled vocals, was indebted to the alternative sounds of the early '90s.
