Using the cliché adage of second-wave feminism as a conceptual framework, this program brings together films focused on individual and paired bodies with those concerned with the social and the political. In these films, sexuality, romance, physical health, and communal solidarity are woven into a patchwork that renders women’s political and social identities more multifaceted than either dominant patriarchy or the mainstream feminist movement envisaged.
