Using intense heat from a torch, along with a little gravity, students can create gorgeous one-of-a-kind glass pendants, cabochons, and turtles from borosilicate glass. When a pattern of broken glass is heated at just the right angle, a flower forms inside of a blob of clear glass, which forms a convex lens that magnifies it.
