Step back in time and across Europe with a program that begins with the atmospheric charm of the Boccherini/Berio Ritirata notturna di Madrid, continues with Mozart’s “Jupiter” symphony, and concludes with the vivid colors and folk-inspired energy of Stravinsky’s Petrushka. The performance is presented by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, a full-scale symphonic orchestra dedicated to the cultural and educational life of the New Orleans area and the Gulf South region.
