Set in 1963, the Tony-nominated Caroline, or Change follows the Gellman family and their African-American maid, Caroline, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Featuring a virtuosic score by Jeanine Tesori, the story blends blues, gospel and traditional Jewish melodies to tell a provocative and personal story.
