In this class, we will be learning what archive building looks like and how it can “transfer” to artmaking, learning from the greats like Romare Bearden, Zora Neale Hurston and Saidaya Hartman. Instructor Aliyah Cydonia Scobey will teach image transfer processes like cyanotype and matte medium transfers to create a zine using images and text found in research and processes.
