Recently naturalized US Citizen and one of Detroit's finest pianists, Maria Meirelles has assembled a program in celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States. The program features the music of some of the greatest composers produced in the US, including Aaron Copland, Fredrick Rzewski, George Gershwin, Samuel Barber, Charles Ives and others.
