Algernon Cadwallader's Trying Not to Have a Thought, out September 12 via Saddle Creek, is their first album with the original lineup since 2008’s Some Kind of Cadwallader. The record is warm, lively, and effortlessly hooky, described by guitarist Joe Reinhart as "Joan of Arc and Pavement in a blender."
