The Carter Center and Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy will co-host their sixth annual elections conference to examine the enduring challenges of contested elections in the United States and consider bipartisan solutions for safeguarding electoral integrity. This year’s conference will focus on lessons learned from the 2026 mid-term election cycle as well as forward-looking recommendations to support electoral resilience in the 2028 presidential election cycle.
